The Cyprus Space Exploration Organisation (CSEO) is all set to host an event in celebration of International Moon Day on Friday.
Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to observe a lunar meteorite and peer through telescopes at the moon.
The central location for the ceremony is Mayor Lellos Demetriades square in Nicosia’s walled city.
The event will kick off at midday, during which the CSEO will unveil its “Apollo to Artemis” exhibition to the public. This exhibition showcases Nasa’s missions to the moon.
Starting from 7 pm in the evening, there will be an array of interactive displays, demonstrations, and documentaries.
International Moon Day is commemorated annually on July 20th, commemorating the historic day in 1969 when humans first set foot on the moon.
